Forest Red Gum Greeting Card - Eucalyptus tereticornis
Forest Red Gum - Eucalyptus tereticornis
Reproduced from an original watercolour painting by Cheryl Hodges. Greeting card 10 x 15cm, blank inside with brown recycled envelope.
Text on reverse of card reads:
This species occurs on the eastern coast of Australia, from southern New South Wales to the wet tropics of north Queensland. It is relatively fast growing and is used for essential oil, and its timber for construction. It also serves as a major food tree for koalas, which eat the leaves, and as a habitat for some Australian native possum species. Its buds have a distinctive long, narrow horn shape.
